IntroductionAs humans, we have a wide range of places we can visit or live on earth. Some places are hot; others are cold. One place is mountainous; another is flat. Some places are wet; others are dry. In this lesson, you will discover different areas on earth as they appear from a plant's or animal's perspective. These areas are called BIOMES.

The Problem
You belong to a group of scientists who have discovered that a carnivorous keystone species is going extinct in the biome you are currently studying. You know that the extinction of this carnivore will have a devastating effect on the biome. The governments of the countries in which your biome is located challenge you to find a new species to replace the one going extinct to maintain the ecological balances. Are you up for this challenge?
